Everything in The Dodo Gallery is a unique, one off piece.

Years ago in Marrakesh, a restaurateur showed us his extensive collection of African masks and figures. We fell under their spell and started collecting. The Dodo Gallery is the result. Our pieces have been bought privately in Europe and on regular visits to Africa. We try to offer objects that are both visually decorative and interesting.

Masks and tribal art have recently become popular with interior decorators for their unusual and edgy style. Also the their influence on artists like Giacometti, Modigliani and Picasso continues to be appreciated by a growing audience.

To complement the Tribal Art we’ve added other interesting and amusing objects, sculptures and paintings.  All our pieces are hand-crafted from natural materials and paintings selected for their originality.  Every piece in the gallery has a unique intrinsic value, whether carved, thrown, formed or painted by hand in the 16th or 21st century.
