A beautiful antique bird cage. This is the Mandarin Oriental for canaries and budgerigars made from mahogany and wire.  From the style and materials we believe that it was mades in India in the late 19th century.
It has two removable sections that slide out from the top either side of the dome. So, it can be one large cage or be divided into two or three smaller units. The base trays slide out for cleaning. The handles and feet are turned ivory. It still has the original seed and water holders and there are no broken wires. It remains a practical bird cage or a very decorative plant holder.
