Songye [Congo] mask, the precise linear incised decoration is filled with kaolin leaving the outstanding dark lines highlighting the features, the mouth, ears and forehead are accented in red. There are slight signs of wear and the mouth has worm damage. Mid-late 20th c  28cm tall.
